I don’t usually write much for the paper, but with the advent of “Top of the 2nd,” our pithy and/or sardonic (possibly childish) look at sports news, I’ve had the opportunity to write a little more. Actually, when you have 6o inches of space to fill and one six-inch story from a writer, some might say it’s more ‘dire need’ than ‘opportunity.’

Well, a month to the day later, the computer is back to its fully functioning self, and we have just accepted the fact that, like everyone and everything else in this extended family, it’s a little weird and temperamental.
Such is life.
Now, maybe Heather and I will actually get back to writing something.
ESPN.com featured an article on Tuesday that struck just a little bit too close to home on a subject near and dear to the heart of many men: the wanton misappropriation and destruction of valuable and sentimental objects.
