The web is truly a place where today’s most important dialogue and research occur. To wit, I point to popvssoda.com, a page detailing the Great Pop vs. Soda Controversy. There’s a map with individual data points for locations where “pop,” “soda,” “coke,” and other words are used to describe carbonated beverages. I note that the “other” category can be broken down to see what individual responders say — and “co-cola” definitely appears in the South. (Of course.)
For reference, I say “coke.”
